Rosneft has developed a digital model of Sibneftegaz fields
Specialists of Sibneftegaz JSC, which is part of the Rosneft gas production complex, have developed and implemented an analytical digital twin of all the company’s fields. The program calculates the production forecast and simplifies monitoring of well operation, including for clarifying telemetry data*.
The digital twin contains information about the operation of more than 150 wells of the enterprise. In automatic mode, field reports data are loaded and the dynamics of changes in well operation parameters is visualized on the graphs. The digital twin predicts natural gas production levels for the short and medium term (month – year). In addition, when changing the parameters of the field, the program helps to obtain up to 600 thousand cubic meters of natural gas per month additionally due to the prompt calculation of the optimal production level.
In the process of improving and expanding the capabilities of the digital twin, the developers managed to speed up its work. Now the forecast for all wells of the field is calculated within 1 minute. Previously, a similar amount of work was performed for about 20 minutes. The functionality of the program is constantly supplemented by tools for solving new problems that arise in the course of the production activities of Sibneftegaz.
The analytical digital twin was presented by young geologists at the finals of the Rosneft Scientific and Technical Conference in 2022 in the Gas Business Development section, was awarded second place and recommended for further implementation within the Company’s perimeter.
