  • Rosneft Has Replaced Its Chief Geologist

Rosneft is undergoing active personnel changes this summer. According to the Kommersant newspaper, Vladimir Mashorin, a native of NNK, was appointed chief geologist instead of Andrei Polyakov.

According to the publication’s interlocutors, Polyakov left the company for health reasons. They call Mashorin’s appointment logical, since he has extensive geological experience in the oil industry and worked with the Payakhsky asset, which is now part of Rosneft’s flagship project, Vostok Oil.

Let us recall that earlier Rosneft also appointed a new head of Bashneft: instead of Andrei Lazeev, the Bashkir enterprise is now headed by Vladimir Chernov. Lazeev headed the company operating the Arctic project, Vostok Oil.
