Rosneft Held a Presentation of New Software for Large Oil and Gas Companies
Rosneft held a Technology Day, which was attended by more than 150 representatives of the largest oil and gas companies. Specialists from Rosneft scientific institutes told their colleagues about new products and capabilities of the line of high-tech software. The event participants issued more than 200 test licenses for 13 software systems.
Rosneft is the first oil company in Russia to successfully create high-tech software that covers all key oil and gas production processes. The line of high-tech software today includes 24 software products, 10 of which have already been brought to market.
At the Technology Day, the RN-STIM simulator was presented – the latest software product developed by the Ufa Scientific Institute. This is an import-substituting software designed for modeling and designing treatment designs for the near-wellbore formation zone to increase well productivity. “RN-STIM” takes into account the characteristics of the rock, chemical substances, features of their interaction, etc.
As part of the further development of the software package, its functionality will be expanded through the integration of 3D filtration and hydraulic fracturing (HF) models. All this will increase the accuracy of drilling inclined and horizontal wells.
Participants of the Technology Day were also shown the capabilities of software products for solving complex problems related to oil production. For example, thanks to the interaction of the RN-GRID and RN-HORIZONT+ software products, the work of engineers in preparing hydraulic fracturing designs for horizontal wells is simplified. Specialists now have the opportunity to transfer information about changes in reservoir characteristics between software systems. This improves production efficiency and allows for more accurate geomechanical models for rock fracture designs during hydraulic fracturing.
