Rosneft Held the V Scientific and Practical Conference on Hydrogeology Issues
Rosneft held the V scientific and practical conference on hydrogeology, bringing together more than 200 Russian and foreign experts in this field. The conference was traditionally organized by the Company’s scientific institute in Izhevsk.
Achieving leading positions in the field of industrial safety, labor protection and the environment is one of the priority objectives of the Rosneft-2030 strategy. The company pays close attention to the rational use of water resources.
The Rosneft conference on hydrogeology is the first domestic platform for the exchange of best practices on the use of water resources in the exploration and exploitation of hydrocarbon fields.
During the event, experts discussed a number of the most important tasks facing the Russian oil and gas complex. In particular, practical methods for assessing the quality of experimental hydrogeological work in oil fields, prospects for the development of industrial water deposits at oil and gas production facilities, as well as best practices for interpreting hydrodynamic studies of water intake and absorption wells were considered.
The Company’s specialists presented the unique software package “RN-Aqua” for design work related to petroleum hydrogeology. The conference also presented reports on the use of the hydrogeoseismological method as a basis for increasing the reliability of short-term earthquake forecasts.
