Rosneft Implements New Technology to Optimize Well Construction
Specialists from Orenburgneft have implemented a domestically developed innovation that allows for a reduction in the length of expensive casing strings by using a large-diameter cemented liner hanger. The actual economic effect of this innovation amounts to over 3.5 million rubles per well.
The reduction in the metal intensity of the well design made it possible to cut casing costs by an average of 24% and reduce drilling time by nearly 10 hours.
Orenburgneft applies advanced technologies across all areas of its operations, significantly increasing the reliability and profitability of production processes. The new approach and the experience gained are planned to be replicated at other Rosneft facilities.
Enhancing operational efficiency is one of the key elements of the Rosneft-2030: Reliable Energy and Global Energy Transition strategy. The company is undertaking extensive efforts to reduce operating costs, including through the implementation of advanced technological solutions.
