Rosneft Introduces Innovative Seismic Processing Technology

Specialists of the Tver Scientific and Production Center of Slavneft-NPC LLC (part of the Rosneft Corporate Scientific and Project Complex) have developed a unique technology for processing and interpreting seismic data. Innovation allows to significantly increase the reliability of complex geological models, which increases the efficiency of geological exploration and development of deposits.

The development of technological potential is one of the key elements of the Rosneft-2022 strategy. The company pays special attention to innovation and the use of breakthrough technological approaches, defining technological leadership as a key factor of competitiveness in the oil market.

The use of innovative seismic data processing technology has already proved its effectiveness in the process of geological tracking and monitoring of production drilling at the East Siberian projects of Rosneft-Kuyumba and Tersko-Kamovskoye fields. The economic effect from the introduction of new technology amounted to 1.6 billion rubles and 1 billion rubles, respectively.

Currently, the model is being adapted for solving complex issues arising from the study of the unique natural oil reservoir – the Bazhenov suite.
