Rosneft Presented An Updated Software Package For Modeling Technological Processes
Specialists from the Ufa Scientific Institute of Rosneft have developed a new version of the knowledge-intensive software complex RN-SIMTEP. The product is designed to simulate the processes of preparation, transportation and primary processing of hydrocarbon raw materials. The economic effect from the implementation of the updated corporate simulator will exceed 1 billion rubles by 2030.
“RN-SIMTEP” version 2.0 allows you to carry out calculations that were previously performed using imported programs. The new version of the digital complex has the ability to simulate the main gas treatment processes. Now specialists can simulate the processes of drying, removing hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide from gas flows, calculate the required amount of reagents for the safe operation of pipelines, and analyze the risks of various types of complications, including scaling, hydrate formation and corrosion.
The new functionality of RN-SIMTEP is based on complex modern mathematical algorithms and modeling techniques. The new product is planned to enter the foreign market this year.
The development of technological potential is one of the key elements of the Rosneft-2030 strategy. The company gives priority to innovation, identifying technological leadership as a key factor of competitiveness in the oil market.
Rosneft is the first company in Russia to successfully create high-tech software that covers all key oil and gas production processes. The Company’s digital solutions are used for production tasks in the field of geology, design, development and operation of fields. They are superior to imported analogues in speed, list of tasks to be solved, use of modern algorithms and clear interface. The unique line of proprietary software consists of 24 software products.
