  • Rosneft Publishes Supplier Human Rights Code

    Rosneft has published the Code of Suppliers of Goods, Works and Services in the Field of Observance of Human Rights .

    Rosneft respects and strictly observes in its activities human rights and freedoms in accordance with the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Social Charter of Russian business, generally recognized standards in the field of protection of human rights and freedoms, as well as in accordance with the applicable legislation of the Russian Federation and other countries in which the Company operates.

    Since 2007, the Company has been publishing sustainable development reports in accordance with the international standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). Rosneft is also a member of the UN Global Compact, thereby confirming its commitment to human rights, and annually updates its public position “Rosneft: Contribution to the Implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals”. In July 2020, the Company presented a Public Position on Human Rights and a Declaration on the Observance of Human Rights in Interaction with Suppliers of Goods, Works, and Services .

    The development of the Supplier Code is a continuation of the comprehensive work on Rosneft’s observance of human rights and freedoms throughout its supply chain of goods, works and services. The Company expects its suppliers and contractors to implement the Code and adhere to it in their operations.

    Over the past few years, Rosneft has been one of the largest consumers of goods, works and services among Russian enterprises. At the end of 2020, the volume of purchases of the Company from third-party counterparties amounted to more than 2.7 trillion rubles. More than 137 thousand procurement procedures were placed on the electronic trading platform of JSC “TEK-Torg”.
