Rosneft: Uses 3D Technologies to Train Employees
Specialists from the Tyumen Oil Research Center (Rosneft Research and Design Institute) have developed a program that allows a virtual tour of the Company’s Sorovskoye field. The main goal of the 3D tour is distance education for young specialists, familiarization of employees of corporate institutions with the specifics of the operation of mining assets.
Digitalization in all areas of the Company’s activity is one of the key elements of the Rosneft-2022 strategy. The introduction of digital technologies increases the speed of decision-making throughout the entire production chain of the Company.
The Tyumen Center actively uses virtual reality technologies in the learning process. Experts have already developed a program for interactive tours of their own unique Core Research Center and the Rosneft Technological Cluster Museum. Thanks to accurate visualization, re-viewing functions and simulation of emergency situations, young specialists and employees of the Company gain new knowledge and unique experience. In addition, virtual tours eliminate the need for a personal presence at the site, which is especially important during a coronavirus pandemic.
