Rosneft Will Present the Latest Digital Technologies for the Oil and Gas Industry in Ufa
The Rosneft Scientific Institute will hold a conference “Digital Technologies in Hydrocarbon Production” in Ufa from October 17 to October 20, 2023. The large-scale event annually brings together more than 500 leading representatives of the oil industry and scientists from different cities of Russia.
During the Conference, participants will exchange experiences in the use of modern digital technologies, and also discuss initiatives to improve the efficiency of hydrocarbon production.
Representatives of the Company’s subsidiaries will talk about their experience in creating digital twins of fields using corporate high-tech software. Based on the technology, the “Digital Field” project was created, thanks to which it was possible to increase the energy efficiency of oil and gas production and optimize the operating modes of wells and equipment. The project is being implemented by Bashneft at the Ilishevskoye field in Bashkortostan.
Rosneft scientists will also demonstrate at the Conference their achievements in the development of low-permeability oil and gas formations. In particular, successful examples of the use of innovative technologies for multi-stage hydraulic fracturing (HF) will be shown. Thanks to the development of Ufa scientists, the wells have already produced gushing oil flows with flow rates twice as high as standard indicators.
Company employees will share their experience in using efficient production tools and talk about methods of managing work processes. Since 2019, the Ufa Scientific Institute has been implementing the “Internal Transformation” project, within which more than 7.6 thousand types of business processes are described. The implementation of the project made it possible to increase the efficiency of the enterprise by an average of 15%.
Conference participants will also hold a meeting with teachers from leading universities in the country, at which the issue of training personnel for the oil and gas industry will be discussed. To attract talented specialists, Rosneft creates its own departments at universities and participates in the development of educational programs. The company donated more than 3,900 educational licenses for its software to 23 Russian universities, and more than 200 teachers received special training to work with software products. Rosneft is interested in high-quality training of specialists with IT competencies and intends to continue active interaction with universities.
