Rosneft has replaced the head of Bashneft. Instead of Andrey LAZEEV, this post was taken by Rosneft’s First Vice President Vladimir CHERNOV on June 19. Since 2020, he also continues to hold the post of General Director of the Vostok Oil project, Taimyrneftegaz and Vankorneft companies. This is reported by Interfax.
Now Lazeev heads RN-Vankor and NGKh-Nedra. This company is part of Taimyrneftegaz, which is developing the Payakhskoye field. These enterprises form Rosneft’s production cluster in Krasnoyarsk Krai (Vostok Oil). Previously, Vladimir Chernov was the head of RN-Vankor and NGKh-Nedra.
Andrey Lazeev has been the head of Bashneft since May 2022. He has been working at Rosneft for more than 10 years. In particular, he held the positions of vice president and chief geologist of the company.
Rosneft’s flagship project, Vostok Oil, involves the development of oil fields in Taimyr. The project’s resource base is 6.5 billion tons of premium low-sulfur oil. It includes 52 licensed areas in the north of Krasnoyarsk Krai and in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (YaNAO).
They contain 13 oil and gas fields, including the Vankor and Payakhsky clusters. Rosneft planned to begin oil shipments as early as 2024 with Vostok Oil along the Northern Sea Route.
