  • Rosneft’s Initial Recoverable Reserves at the Priobskoye Field Increased by 41.6 million tons of Oil

RN-Yuganskneftegaz, the largest production asset of PJSC NK Rosneft, has recalculated the oil and dissolved gas reserves of the licensed areas of the Priobskoye field it is developing. Based on the results of the state examination, the initial geological reserves of the field within the subsoil plots of PJSC NK Rosneft increased by 280.5 million tons, the initial recoverable oil reserves – by 41.6 million tons.

The increase in reserves was achieved as a result of the implementation of exploration and production drilling programs. In 2020, 260 new wells were commissioned as part of the field development strategy.

Based on the results of the reserve calculation, promising areas were also identified for further study of hard-to-recover deposits of the Bazhenov and Tyumen formations.

At the Priobskoye field, large-scale testing of new technological solutions and innovations is underway, which are then replicated at other fields.

Oil production since the beginning of the development of the Priobskoye field has exceeded 490 million tons thanks to the use of advanced technologies for studying and developing reservoirs by RN-Yuganskneftegaz.
