Rosneft’s Typical Design System Won the Project Olympus Competition
The Company Typical Design System (STPK) project, presented by Tyumen Oil Research Center LLC for the Project Olympus 2020 competition, entered the top five winners, becoming a finalist in the Best Project of the Year nomination in the Megaprojects category.
Rosneft is the absolute leader in the development of standard design systems and in reducing the unit cost of construction of linear facilities. The Company’s typical design system is aimed at improving the quality of design products, reducing design costs, eliminating redundancy, introducing the best construction solutions and unifying requirements for material and technical resources.
The Company’s typical design system makes a significant contribution to the implementation of the Rosneft-2022 Strategy: the economic effect of its implementation in the Company’s design solutions at the end of 2020 exceeded 40 billion rubles.
The STPK project won a serious competition: in total, more than 260 applications were submitted for Project Olympus 2020, 75 state, commercial and public organizations went to the second round, and 15 applicants to the final in the nomination.
The competition for professional project management “Project Olympus 2020” is held in order to disseminate project management tools in the public sector, improve the efficiency of government bodies, state corporations and companies that have a significant impact on the development of the economy. The organizers of the competition are the Analytical Center under the Government of the Russian Federation and the SOVNET project management association.
