Rostekhnadzor to Receive Authority to Approve Rules for Geological Monitoring
The government commission on legislative activity has approved granting Rostekhnadzor the authority to approve rules for conducting geological monitoring during the development of solid mineral deposits, RIA Novosti was told by the commission.
Chairman of the Board of the Russian Bar Association, Vladimir Gruzdev, explained that the draft law gives Rostekhnadzor the authority to approve rules for conducting geological monitoring during the development of solid mineral deposits.
“Approved,” the commission stated.
According to Gruzdev, the changes are aimed at improving safety during field development. Currently, there are no mandatory rules governing geological monitoring directly during the operation of deposits.
“Granting Rostekhnadzor such authority will ensure timely identification and prevention of аварийных ситуаций, reducing risks to human life and health,” Gruzdev concluded.
