Rostelecom on the Basis of Former Subsidiary of LUKOIL Will Create a Center for Digitalization of the Oil Industry
The oil company announced the transition to the services of professionals on the basis of outsourcing.
Rostelecom bought out a 49.9% stake in telecommunications LLC Inform from LUKOIL and thus received a consolidated 100% stake. This will ensure the completion of the formation of an industry competence center and will allow Rostelecom to develop projects in the oil and gas sector. The Devon news agency learned about this from a message from Rostelecom.
The competence center for digital development of oil and gas companies, which is being created on the basis of Inform, will be available to customers from the fuel and energy complex, ensuring the provision of the most complete product line of modern telecom and IT services.

In turn, LUKOIL was assured that the company would continue cooperation with the Competence Center for the digital development of companies in the oil and gas sector, which is being formed by Rostelecom on the basis of Inform.
The conclusion of the agreement with Rostelecom is in line with the LUKOIL Group’s strategy to optimize business processes, reduce non-core activities and switch to services of professional market participants on the basis of outsourcing, the oil company said in a statement.
