  • Russia Extended The Suspension Of Publication Of Oil statistics

    The measures will be in force until April 1, 2025.

    The Russian government has extended the suspension of publication of statistics on oil, gas and condensate production until April 1, 2025. This is stated in the order of the Cabinet of Ministers signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, which is posted on the website of the official publication of legal acts.

    According to the document, the corresponding change is made by order of the Government of the Russian Federation dated April 26, 2023 N 1074-r.

    Exceptions may be made by decision of the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, as well as his deputies, the order says.

    Now Rosstat, in its report on industrial production, publishes statistics on gas production in Russia. Thus, in January 2024, the Russian Federation increased natural gas production by 6.8% compared to the previous year, to 55.7 billion cubic meters. m, follows from Rosstat data. This figure is also 3.8% higher than the December 2023 value and is the highest since March 2022.

    The publication of information on oil and gas production in the Russian Federation was suspended from data for March and the first quarter of 2023.
