Russia Offered Nigeria Cooperation In Oil And Gas Exploration
The head of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation Nikolay Shulginov and the Minister of Oil and Gas Resources of Nigeria Ekperikpe Ekpo discussed cooperation on creating a network of gas filling stations.
Russia is ready to cooperate with Nigeria in matters of exploration of oil and gas fields, including on the shelf. This was stated by the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Nikolai Shulginov at a meeting with the Minister of Oil and Gas Resources of Nigeria Ekperikpe Ekpo, which takes place within the framework of the Forum of Gas Exporting Countries in Algeria.
“Russian companies are ready to offer their services for searching and exploring hydrocarbon deposits and performing offshore seismic survey work in Nigeria,” noted Shulginov, whose words are quoted in the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Energy.
The parties also discussed cooperation on creating a network of gas filling stations.
“They are interested in mobile LNG filling stations. We have good cooperation within OPEC, they want to cooperate more on gas,” added Shulginov.
The parties also noted that they are interested in developing energy dialogue in all areas, including in terms of geological work, and also discussed interaction in the format of the Forum of Gas Exporting Countries and cooperation within OPEC+.
