  • Russia Produced 24 Million Tons Of Oil On The Shelf In 2023, And 54 Million Tons In Eastern Siberia

Russia produced 24 million tons of oil from offshore fields in 2023, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said at the international exhibition and forum “Russia”.

In Eastern Siberia, 54 million tons were produced last year.

“Back in 2003, practically nothing was produced in Eastern Siberia. Today we have 54 million tons of oil production (in this region – IF). This is about 10% of the total production in our country,” he said.

“If we talk about the shelf fields of the Sea of Okhotsk, the Pechora Sea, and the Baltic Sea, I would also like to point out that we have reached 24 million tons of production almost from scratch. And there is huge potential here,” Novak emphasized.
