Russian Contract Win for Aberdeen Energy Consultancy

Global energy consultancy, MSE (Consultants) Limited, have announced a significant contract win in Russia. The agreement, with TNK-BP Group Company, CJSC Rospan International (“Rospan”), will see the firm carry out an integrated asset modelling project to develop and optimise production facilities within the Vostochno-Urengoiskoe and Novo-Urengoiskoe licence areas.

Rospan is developing and optimising the deep gas reserves of the Achimov and Valangin formations in the licence areas, with estimated gas and condensate reserves within the fields of 891bcm and 133 million tonnes respectively.

Dr Sib Akhtar, Chairman and Technical Director at MSE, commented: “We are extremely pleased to have won this new project from Rospan. The current and projected developments within the fields in Russia are encouraging for the marketplace and we look forward to supporting the gas condensate field assets.
