Russian Export Center Taking Part in SPIGF
Russian Export Center (REC) is a state-owned institute for the support of non-commodityexports, providing Russian exporters with a wide range of financial and non-financial support measures. The Russian Agency for Export Credit and Investment Insurance EXIAR JSC and Eximbank of Russia JSC are integrated into the REC group. REC brought 27 manufacturing companies to the 8th St. Petersburg International Gas Forum.
With the support of the Russian Export Center, 27 companies, producing pumping equipment, gas engine equipment, protective clothing, polymer composites, control systems and instrumentation, took part in the Forum.
“The Russian enterprises of the gas industry have high competencies and are not inferior in terms of quality of manufactured products, and in many respects even surpass foreign solutions. The purpose of the companies’ participation in the Gas Forum is to find new business partners, demonstrate innovative solutions, and share experience,” – said Yuri Dokukin, the head of Russian Export Center JSC in St. Petersburg.
For example, Research and Production Company TORI manufactures an infrasound pipeline monitoring system, the main function of which is leak detection. According to the representative of the company, REC helps them in issues of entering the foreign market, making the transition from import to export.
In addition, the Center organized participation in the exhibition of such companies as ABS ZЕIM Automation, Arsamassky Priborostroitelny Zavod, Gazserviskompozit, Hydromashservice, Kirovsky Zavod Gas Technologies, Diesel Company, CHELPIPE GROUP, SalavatNefteMash and many others.
In addition to supporting exhibitors, REC took an active part in the Forum’s business program. On 3 October, the representatives of REC held a round table discussion on the state policy on technology exports and the potential of the domestic industry. The event was moderated by Vladimir Belousov, director of Export Support for Energy and Heavy Engineering, Russian Export Center.
At the session, Yuri Dokukin, Head of the Division, Russian Export Center JSC, St. Petersburg, gave a report on the support measures provided by REC. The organization faces the following tasks: creating favourable conditions for export growth, diversifying the export structure and increasing the share of non-commodity products, as well as improving efficiency and consolidating the export support system.
