  • Russneft to Continue Development of the Technically Challenging Vostochno-Kamennoe Field

Russneft will continue active development this year of the uniquely complex Vostochno-Kamennoe field located in Western Siberia, said company CEO Evgeny Tolochok at the annual shareholders meeting.

“Russneft has entered the active phase of industrial development of the uniquely complex greenfield – the Vostochno-Kamennoe field. We have drilled new wells (35 units), commissioned the first phase of the oil treatment facility, and launched several other key infrastructure facilities,” he said.

Tolochok added that the company has made significant progress in studying the geological features of the site, particularly thanks to effective interpretation of seismic survey data.

“We have achieved a great deal and intend to go further. This year, we are ready to tackle new challenges in the development of the Vostochno-Kamennoe field, which will undoubtedly have a positive effect on the company’s capitalization,” Tolochok continued.

Artificial intelligence, he noted, is becoming a major aid in oil production.

“A new technological era has arrived, and this year artificial intelligence will definitely become part of our production cycle,” said the Russneft CEO.

At the annual meeting, Russneft shareholders approved the annual report and financial statements, appointed an auditor, and re-elected the board of directors with the same eleven members. A decision was also made to pay dividends on preferred shares.
