Samara Subsidiary of Rosneft Replenished Reserves by 246%
Samaraneftegaz discovered 20 new hydrocarbon deposits in the fields under development in 2022. The rate of production replenishment by the growth of oil reserves reached 246%. The Devon news agency learned about this from a message from the press service of Rosneft Oil Company.
Last year, Samaraneftegaz drilled about 200,000 meters of rock, almost 10% more than in 2021. The number of production wells drilled increased by 50%. At the same time, the commercial drilling rate was 1584 meters per rig-month.
The growth was achieved due to the commissioning of additional drilling rigs. Also, the subsidiary of Rosneft has optimized the terms of rig installation works by an average of 15 days when drilling in clusters. In addition, new well construction technologies are being introduced.
Samaraneftegaz actively participates in auctions for the right to use subsoil and implements a program of geological exploration. This allows expanding the resource base and ensuring sustainable production in the medium and long term.
In 2022, the enterprise built 16 km of high-voltage power lines, 120 km. pipelines. 49 oil and gas gathering facilities, two waterflooding and absorption system facilities were put into operation. In addition, 90 km of pipelines and 80 facilities were overhauled. Among them are buildings and structures, reservoirs and field roads.
In total, Samaraneftegaz has produced 1.3 billion tons of oil throughout its history. Today the company operates at 136 fields in the Samara and Orenburg regions.
The deposits are being developed, including with the help of horizontal and directional wells. They allow to increase flow rates and oil recovery factor (ORF). Russian equipment of the new generation significantly shortens the well construction cycle and increases the time between overhauls.
