Samaraneftegaz: Wins 4 Block Auction In Samara
The Samaraneftegaz company, which is part of the oil production block of NK Rosneft, obtained the right to use the subsoil for geological exploration, exploration and production of hydrocarbons at the Vostochno-Pervomaisky, Glebovsky, Zharinovsky and Teleginsky blocks following the auction.
The acquisition of new subsoil plots and the replenishment of the resource base in key regions of Russia is an important part of the implementation of the Rosneft-2022 Strategy.
The total area of the acquired plots is over 430 km2. They are located next to the operating oil and gas fields of Samaraneftegaz – in the Alekseevsky, Neftegorsky, Krasnoarmeysky, Volzhsky and Kinelsky districts of the Samara region.
The recoverable oil reserves of the new areas in categories A, B1, B2 amount to more than 1.5 million tons, the resources of the areas are estimated at more than 5.4 million tons. To clarify the geological structure and optimize the placement of wells in the fields, 3D seismic exploration is planned.
The development of new license areas is planned to be carried out with the help of the existing infrastructure of neighboring fields, which will allow obtaining a synergistic effect.
Samaraneftegaz takes an active part in auctions for the right to use subsoil in order to replenish hydrocarbon reserves, expand the resource base and ensure sustainable production in the medium and long term.
