  • SPE Conference will Combine Caspian Leadership

In two weeks, the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) will bring together leaders and experts from the Caspian oil and gas industry to host the 7th edition of its acclaimed Caspian Technical Conference (CPC). For the first time in its history, the event will be held online. The past six months have exposed a number of challenging issues for governments and industries, so the decision was made to adapt to a virtual format while maintaining the same high-quality content and inclusive learning experience.

The oil and gas industry has demonstrated resilience to overcoming low oil prices and technology challenges, turning them into sustainable opportunities. Particular attention during the conference will be given to the dissemination of information on the current and future social, economic and educational needs of the oil and gas sector. Experts will discuss real-world approaches to how oil and gas companies can make organizational, cultural and structural change by simplifying and localizing supply chains, reinventing themselves, and putting purpose and influence at the center of their operations.

At the Global Competition: Creating the Right Environment event, a high quality technical program will be presented, consisting of an opening ceremony, panel discussions for investors and operators, two main panels and over 12 technical sessions. All with interactive questions and answers.

This year’s virtual event provides a unique opportunity to access all technical presentations 1 week before the start date of the conference. This gives attendees the added benefit of being able to view presentations according to their schedule before interacting with expert presenters during the Interactive Interaction Hub from October 21-22.

Industry leaders and E&P specialists from around the world will gather at the conference for frank and engaging discussions, inspiring panel sessions, interactive 1: 1 online chats and group meeting rooms. The event will be a great opportunity to ask questions to speakers, share technical knowledge and explore future innovations and challenges.

The technical program of the conference will include an enviable lineup of speakers. The following leaders of the oil and gas industry will take part in the opening ceremony: Murat Zhurebekov, Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Magzum Mirzagaliev, Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Zhakyp Marabaev, JSC NC KazMunayGas; Uzakbay Karabalin, KAZENERGY Association, Nurlan Zhumagulov, KazService and Tom Blasingheim, President of SPE 2021.

On the morning of the first day, you can take part in panel sessions for operators and investors dedicated to the theme “Economic Success in Today’s Operating Environment”. This will demonstrate two different perspectives of investors and operators in the region.
