  • State Funding for Oil and Gas Exploration in 2024 Will Amount to 11.3 Billion Rubles

    The Ministry of Natural Resources emphasized that starting from 2022, five objects are being studied within the framework of the federal project “Geology: Revival of a Legend” in order to search for gas deposits.

    Federal funding for geological exploration of hydrocarbons in Russia in 2024 will remain approximately at the level of 2023 and amount to 11.3 billion rubles. This was reported to TASS by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources.

    “In 2024, federal funding for geological exploration for hydrocarbon raw materials will remain at approximately the same level and amount to 11.3 billion rubles,” the ministry noted.

    The Ministry of Natural Resources also emphasizes that starting from 2022, five objects are being studied within the framework of the federal project “Geology: Revival of a Legend” in order to search for gas deposits. “The total amount of financing is 4.2 billion rubles. This will make it possible to create a new gas production cluster in Yakutia with the potential for transportation along the Northern Sea Route,” the ministry added.

    Earlier, Rosnedra reported to TASS that the volume of investments by subsoil users in geological exploration of hydrocarbons in 2023 and 2024 will maintain the trend of previous years. The department then recalled that in recent years the figure was about 300 billion rubles, and in 2022 it reached 315.7 billion rubles.
