Surgutneftegaz Reduced Oil Production by 4.8% in 2024
Surgutneftegaz reduced its oil production by 4.8% in 2024 to 53.7 million tonnes, and oil refining decreased by 1.1% to 17.5 million tonnes, according to the company’s materials.
“In 2024, the company’s oil production amounted to 53.7 million tonnes, and gas production was 6.2 billion cubic meters,” the draft annual report states. The previous year’s oil production was 56.4 million tonnes, representing a 4.8% decrease.
“The volume of feedstock processed at the company’s refinery in 2024 was 17.5 million tonnes,” the materials also indicate. In 2023, oil refining amounted to 17.7 million tonnes.
Surgutneftegaz’s activities last year were affected by external restrictions due to the OPEC+ agreement, the report notes. The volume of associated petroleum gas production is determined by the rate of oil withdrawal and the gas factor at the fields, the materials emphasize.
In 2024, the company produced 17.1 million tonnes of oil products. At the Surgutneftegaz gas processing plant, 2.9 billion cubic meters of gas were processed, yielding 2.6 billion cubic meters of dry stripped gas and 400 thousand tonnes of liquid hydrocarbons, the report also states.
