Taas-Yuryakh Neftegazodobycha Will Additionally Receive Up to 5 Million Tons of Oil Due to the Implementation of Unique Technologies
Specialists from Taas-Yuryakh Neftegazodobycha (part of the oil and gas production unit of NK Rosneft) and the corporate research institute in Tyumen have begun to implement unique technological solutions that will allow an additional extraction of up to 5 million tons over 20 years from oil rims at the Srednebotuobinskoye field.
A significant part of the oil field reserves is located in areas with an extensive gas cap and a thin oil rim. Special technological approaches are required to extract them.
The solution developed by Rosneft specialists allows maintaining optimal reservoir pressure to increase oil extraction while preserving gas reserves.
Taas-Yuryakh Neftegazodobycha is the only enterprise in Russia whose design solutions include technologies for maintaining reservoir pressure in multi-hole wells in the gas cap zone.
