TAGRAS Holding Division Receives Patent for Software
Certificates were received for the innovative developments “Tellus” and “FaciesNow”.
TNG-IT, a subsidiary of the TNG-Group division, successfully registered patents for its innovative developments: “Tellus” and “FaciesNow”. The products were created as part of import substitution and optimization of office geological exploration work. The team of developers was able to create unique solutions in the shortest possible time that are not inferior to foreign analogues.
“FaciesNow” is a module for facies modeling. The software is designed to predict sedimentation zones. The developed algorithm is based on the allocation of classes (facies) in a floating window based on the waveform obtained from seismic exploration data. This type of seismic facies modeling allows to obtain sedimentation distribution zones, predict sedimentation conditions and build the most reliable geological model, justifying changes in the behavior of reservoirs and their filtration and capacity properties. The software works in the programming languages C++, Python.
“Tellus” is software for the integrated interpretation of seismic data and GIS. The development is used to obtain the distribution of elastic properties of rocks in the interwell space. By combining seismic exploration data and geophysical well logging, the program offers a choice of algorithms for calculating the inversion transformations of the wave field into the field of elastic parameters (impedance, velocity, density). The algorithms used are based on the constancy of the amplitude-frequency spectrum of reflection coefficients, functions for minimizing the sum of squared deviations and such optimization methods as the direct search method, the gradient type method, the global optimization method. The software works in the programming languages C++, Python.
“The created software packages have been implemented in the production processes of our office centers and are being tested by a number of scientific and technical centers and subsoil user divisions,” notes Artem Kozionov, chief geologist at TNG-Group.
