TagraS-Holding Intends to Enter Azerbaijan and Expand in India
To do this, the company will have to solve the problem of shortage of personnel, including at the expense of the labor resources of neighboring countries.
In 2023, the strategic projects of the TAGRAS oilfield services holding (Almetievsk) should be focused on diversifying services and achieving import independence. The Devon news agency learned about this from the report of the General Director of TagraS-Holding, Lenar NAZIPOV, at a conference of the holding’s teams.
Thus, in order to improve drilling efficiency, the Tagras-Remservice division needs to upgrade drilling crews, modernize equipment and completely switch to the ECONS (Engineering Construction Optimization) digital platform.
The development of high-tech methods of well logging (GIS) will allow TNG-Group to replace the services of foreign oilfield services companies in the Russian market. This was possible thanks to the acquisition of the latest set of geophysical equipment from Schlumberger.
Tagras-Transservice needs to increase the share of special equipment in order to replace third-party contractors. The company should continue to provide transport services for the SIBUR petrochemical holding in the Samara and Nizhny Novgorod regions. It is also necessary to increase the service of electric submersible pumps (ESPs) at the fields of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug (KhMAO).
And Lenar Nazipov ordered the divisions TMS-Group, TNG-Group and MC Sistema-Service to expand in international markets.
“India’s oilfield service market is growing rapidly and is open to Russian companies,” he said. – TNG-Group is already successfully working on it. During the meeting of the delegation of TagraS-Holding with representatives of the Ministry of Oil and Gas of India and the largest oil and gas companies of the country, we were supported to enter the oilfield service market of the republic.”
The machine-building division of TMS Group needs to continue its international expansion by increasing the supply of pumping units to Kazakhstan and building partnerships with Azerbaijan.
To enter new markets in each division of the holding, a pool of relevant technologies for R&D should be determined, the general director of TAGRAS pointed out. For TNG-Group, this is the development and support of acoustic inversion software for modeling and interpreting seismic data based on the established IT department and the formation of a service for proving field reserves.
The Tagras-Businessservice division is tasked with creating an integrated system for protecting TagraS-Holding’s digital assets.
Tatneftedor is to develop and implement new improved asphalt mixes. Meanwhile, the company has already begun construction of the Alekseevsk-Almetyevsk road as part of a toll road, Lenar Nazipov emphasized.
The General Director of TagraS-Holding admitted that in the post-pandemic period, the company faced a shortage of personnel. This was due to a shrinking workforce and the emergence of a large number of alternative jobs with comparable income. Therefore, the holding intends to switch to “human-centered management” and increase the pace of recruitment from neighboring countries. Also, following Tatneft, a decision was made to compensate the tariff part and salaries by 12% from February 1, 2023.
Earlier, IA Devon reported that TagraS-Holding completed work worth 83 billion rubles in 2022. The revenue of the largest division, TNG-Group, in 2022 amounted to 26.124 billion rubles. During the year, the Bugulma company invested 3 billion rubles. Last year, the Bugulma Geophysical Company started offshore seismic exploration in the transit zone of the Indian state of Gujarat. The work was carried out on land and at sea.
