  • TAGRAS Holding Switches to Astra Linux OS

As part of the IX Federal Forum on IT and Digital Technologies in the Russian Oil and Gas Industry, Smart Oil&Gas Oilfield Service Holding signed a cooperation agreement with one of the largest Russian software developers.

TAGRAS Holding and Astra Group of Companies entered into a cooperation agreement to increase the level of digitalization and import substitution of specialized commercial services and platforms of the oil service corporation. The document was signed within the framework of the Smart Oil&Gas forum, which takes place in St. Petersburg on September 14 and 15.

The technology partnership provides for the adaptation of the Astra Group software stack to support digitalization tasks, specialized commercial digital resources and TAGRAS platforms, as well as the transfer of the oilfield service Holding’s IT infrastructure to solutions from a domestic vendor. The parties plan to exchange experience and knowledge, jointly participate in conferences, meetings, round tables, presentations, exhibitions and other events related to the development and use of Russian software. To ensure that employees can take advantage of all the benefits of the operating system and other vendor products, Astra Group of Companies will provide consultations and training for staff on-the-job.

“The products of Astra Group of Companies are becoming a new industrial standard not only for enterprises in the oil and gas industry, but also for the industrial sector of our country’s economy. For TAGRAS Holding, solutions based on the Astra Linux ecosystem are a conscious strategic choice as part of the implementation of the strategy of building technological sovereignty. We are very optimistic about the dynamics of the development of the product ecosystem, not only as an end consumer and user, but also as a partner participating in the development of the product line. And as an end user, we are interested in receiving a full technology stack from one vendor to cover our needs,” comments Dmitry Kirdin, Deputy General Director for Organizational Development and Accounting Processes of TAGRAS Holding.

“The solutions presented in our product portfolio are especially relevant today for large corporations and various sectors of the economy of our country. Partnership with the oilfield service Holding “TAGRAS” will allow us to introduce secure and import-independent solutions into the IT infrastructure, comfortably transfer digital services to the Astra Linux OS, modifying our products taking into account the needs and tasks of the customer. We have all the tools to maintain the functionality of information systems during the transition to domestic software, to ensure the continuity and stability of business processes. At the same time, we provide our partners not only with point products, but with a multifunctional ecosystem that can meet all the needs of companies of various profiles,” said Andrey Klimov, director for work with key customers of the Astra group of companies.
