  • TagraS-RS and TNG-Group Obtained Oil Influx at the Zaozernaya Well No. 1

In Russia there is one more deposit. Hydraulic fracturing was successfully carried out on the parametric well Zaozernaya No. 1, located in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Yugra. The work was carried out for the Federal State Budgetary Institution “VNIGNI” on the basis of the state assignment of Rosnedra.

Hydraulic fracturing was monitored using microseismic monitoring. According to the research data obtained, the total length of hydraulic cracks was recorded to be about 570 meters, the height of the seismic cloud was about 30-35 meters, and the average width of the crack was 2.2 mm.

Thanks to the coordinated work of the engineering service team and the personnel of the 9th fleet of the Hydraulic Fracturing Enterprise TagraS-RS LLC, 50 tons of proppant and 1130 m3 of hydraulic fracturing fluid were injected into the formation at an injection pressure of over 400 atmospheres. To give an idea, the volume of injected liquid is equal to the volume of a 25-meter swimming pool in a sports complex.

The preparation process took 4 months. Behind these deadlines lies a colossal work of specialists: more than 15 meetings were held with the customer; meeting in Moscow with the division of the TAGRAS Holding – TNG-Group; a trip to Skolkovo and KFU in search of the best solutions for working with Bazhen; At the Tver Research Institute, core studies were carried out, which gave a positive result.

More than 12 design options were provided by leading engineer A. Gazetdinov, and I. Idiyatov, I. Sagitov, together with TNG-Group LLC, previously visited the field to properly organize the work, the entire hydraulic fracturing procedure was accompanied by the chief specialist in hydraulic fracturing quality control – I. Idiyatov .

In the process of studying the filtration and reservoir properties of the Bazhenov horizon, an influx of oil was obtained, experts confirmed the oil-bearing capacity of the anomalous “Bazhenov” sediments of the study area. Wellhead and deep oil samples are sent for study.

The parametric well in the Zaozernaya area should solve the most important geological problems for the Karabash oil and gas promising zone. In the process of carrying out work on the regional geological exploration project for 2023-2024, the productivity of the deposits of the anomalous section of the Bazhenov Formation was proven. This significantly increases the prospects of not only the Zaozernaya area, but also the entire Karabash zone.

Gulnaz Valiullina, project manager for the development of hydraulic fracturing of TagraS-RS LLC:

“This work is a tremendous experience for us. At such moments you feel new strength for new heights! In the process of work, leading engineer A. Gazetdinov and I refused consulting services due to disagreements with the consultants in the implementation technology and took on all the risks. At that moment it was very scary to take on such responsibility, but we knew that we had done the engineering calculations correctly. We are grateful to the group of TNG-Group specialists for the trust they placed in us.”
