“TAGRAS” Summed Up the Results of Participation in the Forum “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum 2024”
From May 15 to 17, TAGRAS Holding participated in the International Economic Forum “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum 2024”. The event took place on the territory of the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Center. Representatives from more than 80 states, including 40 OIC member countries, as well as 83 regions of Russia, arrived in Tatarstan to work at the forum.
Opening the event, Prime Minister of Tatarstan Alexey Pesoshin emphasized that KazanForum has been serving as a platform for dialogue, cooperation and mutual understanding between Russia and the Islamic world for many years:
– Today we celebrate the fifteenth anniversary of the forum. Over these years, we have made a significant journey in the development of our relations. Today we can proudly talk about mutual respect, trust and the desire for joint prosperity,” said the head of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan.
General Director of TAGRAS Lenar Nazipov presented to the honorary guests of the exposition the experience of the Holding on the world stage, as well as the potential to expand the geography of its presence and the list of services. In addition, Lenar Limovich spoke about the results of the divisions’ work in the domestic market: the successful completion of a project to study the filtration and capacitance properties of the anomalous section of the Bazhenov Formation sediments, the development of high-tech areas of activity: reengineering of equipment and methods of 4D seismic monitoring.
The joint stand of the Holding worked within the framework of Russia’s largest international exhibition of economic, scientific and technological cooperation, Russia Halal Expo 2024. TAGRAS divisions presented top officials of Tatarstan, Russia, foreign countries, and guests of the exposition with new products and services, opportunities for localizing production and digital solutions for potential partners.
– Last year we assessed the effectiveness of this site, so we decided that we should definitely be present here this time too. Foreign partners themselves show a desire to contact us and build partnerships. In the coming year, according to our forecasts, the volume of the Holding’s work in the OIC countries will reach 3.8 billion rubles. Since 2020, we have increased this figure three times,” Lenar Nazipov, General Director of TAGRAS Holding, comments on participation in KazanForum.
This is the second year that the forum has had federal status. As part of the event, 180 events were held and 120 agreements were concluded. The key areas of the forum were financial and logistics infrastructure projects, international cooperation, sports, tourism, culture, the halal industry, Islamic finance and investment, economics and personnel, and other topics. KazanForum is an excellent opportunity to enter new markets and strengthen international business ties.
Deputy Head of the Foreign Economic Activity Department of TAGRAS Zinnur Zakirov shared details of the company’s foreign expansion. According to him, the Holding is absolutely capable of offering effective solutions to the problems faced by potential partners:
– Since last year, the Holding has been operating a foreign economic activity department. The key task of management is the active promotion of TAGRAS products and services to foreign markets. To date, we have already reached certain agreements in the United Arab Emirates, where we are creating a joint venture with a large service company. We have signed a mutually beneficial cooperation agreement with local oil service companies in Oman. And in Azerbaijan we are already moving to piloting a system of equipment for local fastening of well walls of the Sistema-Service company.
The geophysical division of the TNG-Group Holding presented at the exhibition new equipment for performing geophysical research, including its own production – a tracked module – part of the chassis of the Nomad-65 vibration source, as well as tractor and special equipment. In addition, specialists presented the results of work at the Zaozernaya No. 1 well. Through the joint efforts of TagraS-RS and TNG-Group, it was possible to obtain an influx of oil from a parametric well for the first time in the last 30 years.
– Our company is represented not only at the joint stand of the Holding, but also at the stand of the Kazan IT Park. Here we present new software products to optimize and improve the quality of work of our interpreters,” says Artem Kozionov, Deputy General Director and Chief Geologist of TNG-Group.
The central theme of this year’s KazanForum is “Trust and Cooperation”. The main goal of the forum is to strengthen trade, economic, scientific, technical, social and cultural ties between the regions of Russia and the OIC countries, as well as to promote the development of institutions of the Islamic financial system in the Russian Federation. According to Rais Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the growing contribution of the Islamic world to solving modern global and regional problems is obvious. And Tatarstan is at the forefront of interaction with Muslim companies and investors. A constant dialogue is maintained both at the official and business level, mutual visits are made, joint projects are implemented.
KazanForum is the main platform for economic interaction between the Russian Federation and the countries of the Islamic world. The event helps strengthen cooperation between Russia and the Islamic world and establish new business contacts. Russia’s trade turnover with the OIC countries has grown by 37% over the past three years and amounted to $156 billion.
During the forum, top management and specialists of TAGRAS held a series of presentations and business meetings with representatives of the industrial and business community of Russia and OIC countries. Specialists from five divisions of the Holding worked at the TAGRAS stand: TagraS-RS, Sistema-Service, TMS Group, TNG-Group and TagraS-EnergoService.
