  • TAGRAS Summed up the Results of Participation in the Tatarstan Oil and Gas Petrochemical Forum

New products and services for oil and gas companies, an extensive business program and large-scale networking with representatives of Russian and foreign delegations – TAGRAS took part in the Tatarstan Oil and Gas Chemical Forum, presented relevant solutions for customers at the TatOilExpo exhibition and opened a modern Training and Production Center based on the Institute geology and oil and gas technologies KFU.

TatOilExpo: new TAGRAS technologies and equipment for oil and gas companies

This year, the forum was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the start of oil production in Tatarstan. Opening the event, Rustam Minnikhanov noted that the largest facilities of the petrochemical industry are operating in the region and all conditions for scientific and technological development have been created. This is confirmed by the specialized exposition TatOilExpo, where enterprises demonstrated the latest technologies, digital solutions and petrochemical equipment.

Rais of the republic visited the stands of the exposition. The delegation included Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Pyotr Parkhomchik, Minister of Oil and Environment of the Kingdom of Bahrain Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Daina, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askhat Khasenov, Deputy Mayor of Dongying Yang Tongxian, Chairman of the Council of the Union of Oil and Gas Producers of Russia Yury Shafranik, President of the National Oil and Gas Service Association Viktor Khaikov, Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Oleg Korobchenko, representatives of federal and republican ministries and departments, Russian and foreign oil and gas companies.

General Director of TAGRAS Lenar Nazipov presented to the honored guests of the exposition the latest developments of the divisions of the Russian oilfield service group. Among them are analogues of stages of imported horizontal pumping unit with increased productivity up to 2,500 cubic meters; caterpillar modules for vibration sources for operation in harsh climates and off-road conditions, completely consisting of Russian components; technology for protecting the welded joint of pipes, the use of which will speed up the welding process by 2 times; as well as high-flow hydraulic fracturing technology in wells with hard-to-recover reserves.

According to Lenar Nazipov, companies in the Russian oil and gas sector have adapted to the challenges. This year, the focus has shifted from import substitution to import independence – enterprises are more actively investing in their own developments and R&D.

“TAGRAS is increasing investments in production, this year the Holding will invest about 8.5 billion rubles, which is a third more than a year earlier. In addition, we focus on developing our own technologies and equipment. Investments in R&D have been more than tripled, and investments will exceed 250 million rubles a year.”

Business program: investments, science and fair support measures

The issues of investment and effective investment management in the implementation of projects in the new realities became the key topic of the Gazprombank business breakfast. The event was attended by Lenar Nazipov, Head of TAGRAS Holding, Ildar Mannapov, First Deputy General Director for Organization and Development of Production, and Sergey Sergeev, Deputy General Director for Economics and Finance. The moderator was the head of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan Taliya Minullina. The discussion was attended by the heads of the largest oil and gas companies, government officials and industry experts.

The participants in the discussion noted that the challenges of the external environment pose new challenges for investors – it is necessary to rethink approaches to investment management. At the same time, the consolidation of the efforts of market participants – business, the state and the scientific community – plays an important role in the process of overcoming existing restrictions and stimulating investment. The use of innovative approaches and strategies, further technological development, as well as the use of modern digital solutions are the key to successful project implementation.

The discussion of the prospects for the development of Russian oil and gas companies in modern conditions continued at the plenary session of the International Scientific and Practical Conference. Among the issues raised were the importance of using scientific achievements, fair taxation for companies producing heavy and light oil, the need for government incentives for reforms in the industry.

Commenting on the prospects for the development of industry enterprises, Lenar Nazipov noted that the oil and gas service sector also needs support. Incentives are needed, including to increase competitiveness in foreign markets.

“We supply products to foreign markets, such as pumping units, cables and other goods. But it is more interesting for us to increase the export of services,” said Lenar Nazipov. Previously, work in terms of providing state benefits was carried out only in terms of supporting the export of goods. The General Director of the Holding recalled that in July this year, a meeting of the Coordinating Council for Industry was held, after which the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov instructed the Russian Export Center to work on the issue of creating mechanisms to support the provision of Russian oil and gas services abroad. “This is an important decision. We hope that there will be additional opportunities for further development for us.”

Training and production center: TAGRAS develops cooperation with KFU

An important step in the development of the scientific achievements of the Russian oilfield services group, the high-quality training of specialists – processors and interpreters of seismic data – was the opening of the Training and Production Center of the Geophysical Division of the TNG-Group Holding. The Center, created on the basis of the Institute of Geology and Oil and Gas Technologies of the Kazan Federal University, plans to systematically train masters on real projects.

“We have been cooperating with Kazan University for a long time. If earlier interaction was limited to issues related to the preparation of the target group, now we set the task so that students in the learning process are already ready to implement real projects,” Lenar Nazipov emphasized.

Danis Nurgaliyev, Vice-Rector for Oil and Gas Technologies, Environmental Management and Geosciences, Director of the Institute of Geology and Oil and Gas Technologies of KFU, noted that cooperation will bear fruit in the near future: the infrastructure of the KFU laboratory complex and the experience, competencies and capacities of the TAGRAS Holding will achieve high results.

The Tatarstan Oil and Gas Chemical Forum and Exhibition TatOilExpo is the largest international event in the oil and gas industry. This is an effective platform for expanding cooperation between industry enterprises both at the regional and international levels.

During the forum, the top management and specialists of TAGRAS held a series of presentations and business meetings with representatives of the industrial and business community of the Russian Federation, countries of near and far abroad. In particular, negotiations were held with the delegation of the Association of Independent Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Turkey. Specialists from five divisions of the Holding worked at the TAGRAS booth: TNG-Group, TMS Group, TagraS-RS, Sistema-Service and TagraS-EnergoService.
