  • TAM INTERNATIONAL OFFICIALLY OPENS NEW ABERDEEN FACILITY

TAM International North Sea Limited, a subsidiary of TAM International Inc, an independent oilfield services company that provides inflatable and swellable packers, and downhole products and services to the oil and gas industry, has officially opened its new £1.8 million Aberdeen base.

As part of a global strategy to expand the business, TAM International North Sea Limited, which currently employs 35 people at its Aberdeen base, expects to increase its workforces by approximately 20% over the next three years.

Servicing Europe, Russia, Africa and the Middle East, the facility in West Tullos will act as the primary training centre for the region. It also provides a state-of-the-art warehouse area, permanent display area and modern, fully equipped offices.

Senior personnel from the company’s Houston headquarters attended the event, which was opened by internationally recognised leading journalist in the energy sector and chairman of Aberdeen Renewable Energy Group (AREG), Jeremy Cresswell.

Vice president of operations for Europe, Africa and Middle East, Steven Scott said: “This is an exciting time for the team here at TAM and this important investment in Aberdeen is part of our wider global strategy.

“We have recently seen particularly significant growth in Norway, West Africa and Russia and we see Aberdeen as vital for the development of our business in those key regions. We look forward to the challenges ahead as we drive the company forward.”
