TATNEFT is the Leader of Environmental Ratings
According to the results of 2022, TATNEFT took the first places in prestigious ESG ratings and won federal and republican competitions, retaining leadership positions in the field of ecology.
For the first time, the Company was recognized as the sole leader of the industry rating of environmental openness of oil and gas companies (organized by WWF Russia and CREON Group).
The Company also became the best in the “Ranking of oil and gas companies in terms of integrating the climate agenda” of the Analytical Credit Rating Agency (ACRA), which assessed the energy efficiency improvement programs implemented at TATNEFT and the high level of information transparency.
The Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) has included TATNEFT in the group of leaders of the sustainable development indices “Responsibility and Openness” and “Rating of companies on disclosure of information on the integration of the UN SDGs”. These indices assessed the completeness and quality of disclosure of information on various aspects of sustainable development in corporate reporting.
In the international TPI (Transition Pathway Initiative) rating, the Company has improved its position by two positions compared to 2021. (TPI assesses companies’ readiness to transition to a low-carbon economy). The Rating Agency recognizes the high level of integration of the climate issue into strategic and operational decision-making in the Company.
TATNEFT and TANECO became the winners of the All-Russian RSPP competition “Leaders of Russian business: dynamics, responsibility, sustainability” in the nomination “For Environmentally Responsible business”.
In the IV All—Russian competition of the best environmental practices “Reliable partner – ecology” TATNEFT was recognized as the best in the nomination “The best educational project in the field of ecology” for the project “Taking care of the future: a network of unique school bio laboratories for microcloning plants”
In the annual ECOlider competition organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, TATNEFT, TANECO and TATNEFT-Gas Station Center took 1-2 places in the nominations “Protection of water resources”, “Protection of atmospheric air”.
Environmental and ESG ratings indicate a high level of information openness of the Company and effective activities aimed at preserving the environment.
