Technymon GBT Acquires Bimetal Experience
Technymon Global Bearing Technology (GBT), a leading manufacturer of sliding bearing products, has announced the acquisition of Bimetal Experience, a Turin-based manufacturer of bimetal bearings, bushings, shells and washers. Bimetal will be a division of Technymon GBT, which manufactures ISO-certified quality products in Europe, the United States and India. Both companies have locations in Northern Italy, which should aid in a smooth integration, said Technymon GBT Group CEO Bernd Fischer. “It was an ideal match,” Fischer said. “This acquisition positions Technymon GBT as an even more comprehensive supplier of all types of plain bearings. We wanted to enhance our product portfolio and offer our customers a one-stop shopping experience.” Technymon GBT specializes in manufacturing self-lubricated, pre-lubricated and polymer bearing products for a wide range of industries, including automotive, oil/gas, hydraulics, industrials, mining/construction, agriculture and renewable energy. “Bimetal is manufacturing a large range of special parts that cannot be found anywhere else in Europe and the United States,” said Varun Sood, co-founder of UC Capital (which purchased the Technymon Group in 2017) and a Technymon GBT Board Director. “We’re seeing great synergies in combining both businesses.” “With this acquisition, Technymon GBT further completes its wide range of industries operating in four continents,” said Jozef Jansen, co-founder of UC Capital and a Technymon GBT Board Director. “Bimetal looks back on an incredible 100-year history and we give them a warm welcome to the Technymon family.” |
