Tendeka has developed swellable elastomers that are extremely cost effective and provide a high performance seal for completion and drilling applications including water shut off and cement assurance that significantly improves well performance when compared to other methods.

With over 2,600 swellable elastomer compounds evaluated to date the client can be assured of an effective and lasting solution.  Over 4,500  Swellfix packers have been installed to date, they are proven to deliver value across the world with operations in  Oman, Russia, North Sea, Nigeria, Cameroon, Brunei, Malaysia, New Zealand, Canada, and the U.S. benefiting from cost savings and production gains.

Service Offering

Swelling elastomers for:

  • to shut-off water producing zones
  • to segment the liner annulus, allowing future water shut-off
  • to replace liner cementation and perforation using slotted liners
  • to provide zonal inflow profiling, in combination with flow restrictor valves or with surface controlled valves (smart completions)
  • to provide selectivity in water injector wells
  • to provide a swelling micro-annulus seal in a cemented casing
  • to provide a back-up seal above top-of-cement in casing-casing annulus (or against open hole, as required)
  • to provide closure of the top channel in a horizontal gravelpack
