The Cabinet Of Ministers Approved The Powers Of The Ministry Of Natural Resources To Register Installations On The Shelf And In The Seas
The Ministry of Natural Resources is vested with the authority to adopt a procedure for submitting information about contractors creating, operating and using structures and installations on the continental shelf.
The Government of the Russian Federation has adopted a draft resolution giving the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources the authority to adopt a procedure for registering installations, structures and artificial islands on the continental shelf and in inland seas. This follows from the list of decisions made at the Cabinet meeting on April 5.
The document notes that the draft resolution amends the regulations on the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources in terms of vesting it with the powers to adopt the procedure for registering artificial islands, installations, structures located on the continental shelf, as well as in internal sea waters, in the territorial sea and within the Russian sector Caspian Sea, and rights to them.
