The Company Mage Completer Field Work on Black Sea Shelf
Marine Arctic Geological Expedition (JSC MAGE) successfully completed a comprehensive geological and geophysical exploration on the South-Chernomorsky license block for the company RN-Exploration, LLC.
Modern research vessel “Polar Marquis” was involved in work. This specific vessel allows successfully towing a record 14 streamer configuration that provided the possibility of obtaining seismic data of high quality in record time.
In addition to the 3D seismic exploration on a 2000-square-kilometer block barometric shooting, gravity and magnetic surveys were also made. Such complex studies can provide the most accurate data for future exploration and conceptual design of oil and gas production projects.
“MAGE has established an HSE management system that meets or exceeds the standards of local and international regulators in cooperation with shipowner Dolphin Geophysical AS. Guided by this system we have accomplished the research without any incident, accident cases and also minimize impact on environment”, – the Director of the Moscow office of MAGE Alexey Kazanin reported.
High professionalism and competence of the staff of MAGE during the project should be noted as surveys were carried out in the immediate vicinity of the city of Sochi.
