The Economic Effect From the Implementation of the Orenburgneft Energy Saving Program for Three Years Amounted to More Than 500 Million Rubles
The Orenburgneft company (part of the Rosneft oil production complex) has saved more than 187 million kWh of electricity in three years. In monetary terms, the effect exceeded 500 million rubles. Including in 2022, the savings amounted to more than 147 million rubles.
Increasing the efficiency of production assets is one of the key elements of the Rosneft-2030 strategy. The company carries out systematic work aimed at rational use of energy resources and reduction of energy consumption, optimization of electrical loads and thermal processes.
During 2022, Orenburgneft implemented 944 measures as part of the energy saving program. Modernization of the equipment for downhole submersible equipment in oil production has reduced energy consumption and increased the life between repairs of pumps. The work of oil treatment and transportation facilities was optimized, as well as the modernization of pumping equipment in the reservoir pressure maintenance system and the reengineering of surface infrastructure.
Another significant project was the optimization of the transport of products from the Kodyakovskaya, Olkhovskaya and Malakhovskaya groups of fields, which made it possible to save about 1.3 million kWh of electricity. The replacement of high-pressure pumps in the formation pressure maintenance system with more energy-efficient ones resulted in savings of more than 1.1 million kWh.
