The Economic Effect From The Implementation Of The Orenburgneft Energy Saving Program In 2023 Exceeded 219 Million Rubles
The Orenburgneft company, the largest producing asset of Rosneft in the Volga region, saved more than 60 million kWh of electricity in 2023, which in monetary terms amounted to more than 219 million rubles. The effect was achieved thanks to the implementation of a program to increase energy efficiency and energy conservation.
Increasing the operating efficiency of the company’s production assets is one of the key elements of the Rosneft-2030 strategy. The company carries out systematic work aimed at rational use of energy resources and reduction of energy consumption, optimization of electrical loads and thermal processes. The energy management system in force at Orenburgneft fully complies with Russian and international standards.
As part of the implementation of the energy saving and energy efficiency program in 2023, Orenburgneft employees optimized the operation of pumping equipment in oil treatment and pumping systems, maintaining reservoir pressure, modernized downhole submersible equipment in oil production, reengineered ground infrastructure and reconstructed electrical networks.
In particular, optimization of the operation of pumping equipment was carried out at the Rybkinskaya cluster pumping station, which saved about 6.5 million kWh of electricity. Also in 2023, the company replaced submersible electric motors in oil production; the effect of the measures allowed reducing energy consumption by almost 5.5 million kWh. In addition, when performing repair and insulation work at oil production wells, the amount of produced water was reduced. Thanks to this enterprise, it was possible to save another 10.5 million kWh of electricity.
