Effect of Technologies Created by Gazprom Neft in 2021 will Exceed 11 Billion Rubles
In 2021, the Gazprom Neft upstream unit developed 8 new technological products to improve the efficiency of hydrocarbon production processes. Their implementation in the future will provide the company with additional profit in the amount of more than 11 billion rubles.
Key developments in 2021 are related to new engineering approaches and the use of block-modular equipment for field development. In addition, specialists from the Gazprom Neft Science and Technology Center have created new solutions related to digital modeling of hydraulic fracturing and innovations in oil exploration.
A landmark product for the industry was the unit created by Gazprom Neft for separating associated petroleum gas into useful fractions. The equipment not only ensures the commercialization of all types obtained in the process of hydrocarbon production, but also reduces carbon dioxide emissions by 7%. The first technological complex has been successfully tested and is being operated at the company’s assets in the Orenburg region.
Today, Gazprom Neft is implementing about 100 projects to create innovative solutions, including digital products, equipment, new materials and reagents for petrochemistry, approaches to finding and developing deposits. The company develops its own solutions and scouts ideas and start-ups in the foreign market with the help of the INDUSTRIX acceleration program and the New Industry venture fund. Gazprom Neft has registered about 500 patents for inventions and other intellectual property related to the technologies being created. The total potential economic effect from the implementation of the technologies being developed today exceeds 80 billion rubles.
