The Field Development Plan delivered by TyumenNIIgiprogas contributes to development of the Vostochny dome of Severo-Urengoyskoe oil and gas condensate field
Commercial development of Vostochny dome of Severo-Urengoyskoe oil and gas condensate field must be started in October. A Field Development Plan was prepared by LLC “TyumenNIIgiprogas”.
The FDP for development of oil and gas condensate reservoirs of Severo-Urengoyskoe oil and gas condensate field delivered by the specialists of LLC “TyumenNIIgiprogas” timely and at a high scientific and technical level in August, 2013.
The document was reviewed by Scientific and Technical Council of OJSC “Novatek”, Commission of OJSC “Gazprom” and was approved by the Central Development Commission Rosnedra.
For the first time 3-D modeling allowed to justifying a comprehensive (single) option for development of 35 pay horizons of various hydrocarbon reservoirs phases on different development stages.
The solutions suggested by the specialists of LLC “TyumenNIIgiprogas” will allow to twofold increase of hydrocarbons production, ensuring high oil recovery factor. Also, the capital investments in the field development will be optimized and high project profitability will be ensured.
At the same time by the instruction of a subsoil user CJSC “Nordgas” LLC “TyumenNIIgiprogas” participated in the expert review and endorsement of hydrocarbon reserves re-estimation (the author – OJSC “Central Geophysical Expedition”) and Facilities and Infrastructure Setup Plan of the Vostochny dome of the field (the author – OJSC “VNIPIgasdobycha”).
The work performed in a short period of time by the specialists of LLC “TyumenNIIgiprogas” allowed a subsoil user to bring the site into the development two years ahead.
So almost simultaneously in 2013 three companies performed the following operations: hydrocarbons reserves estimation (approved by the State Reserves Committee Rosnedra in March), Field Development Plan (approved by CDC Rosnedra in August) and Facilities and Infrastructure Setup Plan of the Vostochny dome (approved by the State Expert Review Body GlavGosExpertiza in August).
“The experience of interaction with geologists and field set-up specialist is highly valuable and will be applicable for other projects” – said Aleksandr Nesterenko, Deputy General Director on Research and Design Operations in development and operation of gas condensate and oil fields of LLC “TyumenNIIgiprogas”.
