The Graifer field Will Be Brought to Its Design Capacity of 1.2 Million Tons in 2028
The output of the design capacity of the Valery Graifer deposit in the Russian sector of the Caspian Sea of 1.2 million tons is planned for 2028, according to the state report on the state and use of mineral resources in 2022, published by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology.
The field (formerly Rakushechnoye), discovered in 2001 and commissioned last year, became LUKOIL‘s third facility in the region. Its recoverable reserves are 19.2 million tons. The sea depth in the field area ranges from 5 to 8 meters.
The volume of oil produced in 2022 in the Caspian Sea at the Filanovsky and Korchagin fields amounted to 6.9 million tons (7.3 million tons in 2021), of which 6.1 million tons accounted for the former, and 3.3 billion cubic meters of gas.
