  • The Head of the Board of Directors of LUKOIL, Vladimir Nekrasov, Has Died

    Vladimir Nekrasov was elected head of the board of directors of LUKOIL last year, after the death of the previous head of the board, Ravil Maganov. The company reported that Nekrasov died of heart failure

    Chairman of the Board of Directors of LUKOIL Vladimir Nekrasov died at the age of 66, the company’s press service reported.

    According to the preliminary conclusion of doctors, the cause of death was acute heart failure.

    The company noted that Nekrasov devoted almost 50 years to working in the oil and gas industry, going from a repairman to the general director of LUKOIL-Western Siberia, after which he worked as the first vice president of the company, advisor to the president and chairman of the board of directors, “ always demonstrating outstanding management abilities and ideas for production development.”

    “Nekrasov owns a number of successfully implemented ideas in the field of field development, which were developed throughout the oil industry and became the basis for his recognition in the scientific community – in 2000 he was awarded the academic degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences,” the press service emphasized.

    They also expressed condolences to Nekrasov’s family and friends.

    In the latest list of affiliated entities published by LUKOIL (for the second half of 2021), Nekrasov is not listed as a shareholder. From the SPARK database it follows that he sold his stake in the amount of 0.042% in 2018. At the same time, he is currently a co-owner of the company IFG LLC with a net profit of 1.7 million rubles for 2022.

    Vladimir Nekrasov was born in 1957, graduated from the Tyumen Industrial Institute. From 1992 to 1999, he held the positions of chief engineer and general director of the Kogalymneftegaz Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and since 1999, vice president of LUKOIL. He took the position of chairman of the board of directors in 2022, after the death of the previous chairman Ravil Maganov. The company then reported that he died after a serious illness. An RBC source said that Maganov died after falling from the window of the Central Clinical Hospital (CBK) of the Presidential Administration.

    For success in his professional activities, Nekrasov was awarded the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, IV degree, the Order of Honor, as well as other state, departmental and public awards.
