  • The Northern Asset Of Belorusneft Has Discovered A New Oil Deposit

In February, drilling of exploratory well No. 724s2 was completed at the Izvestinsky license area. It was founded to search for hydrocarbon deposits in the Jurassic and Cretaceous deposits of the Western Rozhdestvenskaya structure.

“As a result of the development of the Yu1 formation, a gushing influx of oil with a flow rate of 200 tons per day was obtained,” said Petr Povzhik.

According to preliminary estimates, the geological reserves of oil in the new deposit amount to 625 thousand tons. In the future, it is planned to drill out the established deposit with the opening of the pre-Jurassic complex in order to search for and evaluate the resource base of the underlying sediments.

Since 2013, the Yangpur Oil Company has represented Belorusneft in the Russian oil and gas production market. Among the main activities of the company are the production of oil, gas, gas condensate, primary oil refining, supply of hydrocarbon raw materials and products of their processing to enterprises in Russia and other countries.
