The President Instructed to Promote Oil Service Companies of Kazakhstan Abroad
In Akorda, at a meeting with representatives of domestic business, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that the oil service industry should become an important engine of growth and diversification of the domestic economy, MIA Kazinform reports with reference to the Akorda press service.
According to the Head of State, it is necessary to take effective measures to provide bank financing to Kazakh enterprises under signed contracts with oil and gas corporations. Financial regulators need to make a decision on this issue. Due to the completion of the future expansion project in Tengiz, tens of thousands of oil service industry workers are being released. Potentially promising countries for employing Kazakh specialists are Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
In addition to solving the social issue, support and promotion of our companies within the framework of international oil and gas projects can, according to the Head of State, bring significant foreign exchange earnings. This approach is widely practiced around the world.
The President instructed the Government to take comprehensive measures to promote domestic oil service companies abroad, to make maximum use of the potential of industry businesses and associations that are already engaged in solving this problem at their level.
