The President of Turkmenistan Replaced the Head of “Turkmengeology”
Gurbangeldy Garliyev appointed as new head of state corporation
Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov dismissed Merdan Rozyev, chairman of the state corporation Turkmengeology, from his post. This was reported in the official program of the Turkmen television Watan.
According to television, Roziev was relieved of his post in connection with the transfer to another job. Gurbangeldy Garliyev has been appointed as the new head of the state corporation by presidential decree.
Roziev has headed Turkmengeology since July 2020. The State Corporation studies the mineral resource base of the country’s extractive industries and provides a comprehensive study of its subsoil, conducts exploration of minerals, their deposits, etc.
