The Project “Rosgeo” and “Geomix” Received a Prize at the Competition of Effective Digital Projects “Mining Industry 4.0”
The Rosgeo project to improve the Geomix-Geology deposit design platform received a special prize at the Competition of effective digital projects for mining enterprises “Mining Industry 4.0” in the “Practical Import Substitution” category. The award ceremony took place on April 24 at the MiningWorld Russia International Exhibition.
The joint project of Rosgeo and Geomix, completed in 2023, was included by the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation among the most significant, and was partially financed by a grant from the Russian Foundation for Information Technologies (RFIT).
The GGIS GEOMIS-Geology platform version 6.0 allows you to accumulate and process primary geological information, interpret it, create three-dimensional models of mineral deposits, carry out research to determine patterns of distribution of qualitative properties of ores in space and calculate mineral reserves. The developed Russian software completely replaces foreign analogues and has enormous export potential.
An integrated approach to automating the processes of geological exploration of solid minerals increases the operational efficiency of work by more than 2.5 times, has a sensitive effect on the quality of the geological result and, as a result, makes a significant contribution to solving the problem of sustainable supply of mineral raw materials to the needs of the economy of the Russian Federation.
“We saw our task not just to replace foreign software, but to create a comprehensive integrated platform for automation of geological exploration for solid minerals and acted as an assembly platform to solve not only the problem of automating our business processes, but also to “close” the industry’s functional deficit. That is why, within the framework of the Government Commission, we were approved for a state support program in the form of a grant from RFRIT, on a parity basis, with which we financed the completion of the software product,” comments Pavel Solovyov, IT Director of Rosgeo JSC.
