The Rosneft Scientific Institute Created A Large 3D Model Of A Production Plant
Specialists from the Ufa Scientific Institute of Rosneft have created a “digital twin” of the gas pre-treatment unit (GPU) at the Barsukovskoye field of RN-Purneftegaz. This is one of the largest interactive objects designed by the Company – its area is 270 thousand square meters, which is comparable to the size of a populated area.
The interactive three-dimensional model of the installation is built on specialized domestic software with the maximum level of detail. The “digital twin” contains all the information about objects at all stages of design: dimensions, materials, design features, etc. The composition of the site’s structures includes extended multi-tiered overpasses, technologically complex shelves and more than 90 pieces of technological equipment.
The use of a 3D project is effective at various stages of the life cycle of designed objects. At the start of construction, the digital model allows you to optimize design solutions. At the operational stage, the 3D model is used to improve the efficiency of management of a production facility, and also as a simulator for practicing actions in eliminating emergency situations.
The Ufa Scientific Institute of Rosneft specializes in the development of 3D products for the design and construction of industrial facilities. Digital twins of structures are consolidated into an electronic catalog of 3D products, which already includes more than 250 thousand models of elements of pipeline, cable and building structures.
The development of technological potential is one of the key elements of the Rosneft 2030 strategy. The company gives priority to innovation and the use of breakthrough scientific approaches, identifying technological leadership as a key factor of competitiveness in the oil market.
